Pretty Darn Happy :D

Hello All!

How might you be this fine and wonderful day? I'm (as the title says...) pretty darn happy. Our new manager and old friend, Steve, arrives today. :D We now have the most awesome pharmacy team ever.

I'll write more when I can sit still... and also whe I have more news ;)

Good evening, dear friends!

Full time job :)

Today, Monday 20/06/11, was rather busy... Lots of people coming in wanting service and a listening ear. I don't mind at all. I love my customers, but just not when I have ten billion other things to do! I found out recently that we have been double charging for a few nursing home/hostel patients, and a few that we haven't been charging for. Not my fault, I'm still working out mistakes made by our former intern. Also trying to order medication summaries and current prescriptions for the correct medications and doses. But the end product is worth it: effective communication and a good working relationship with my friends at the doctors' surgery, hospital, nursing home and hostel.
Here's an example of what a pack looks like, although more often than not, there are a heap more tablets in the blisters!:

I will be glad when it slows down a bit, but so long as I'm getting paid, I don't mind! And most of the customers are friends of mine (it kinda happens like that in small communities... most often you're related to a lot of them too) so it's great to see 99% of them. Then there are the other 1%... I won't even go there!!!!!!

In the world of the V8 Supercars, it was a tragic loss to the Fords on Sunday. But Craig Lowndes (Holden) did come second so it wasn't so bad. (Just had to put this info in for Ingrid, she's a Ford girl... True story.)

Well, I'm about run out of things to blub on about, so I'm going to say 'bye for tonight and go make myself a cuppa.
Have a lovely evening everyone,
Sarah

Kathy dear's birthday, and Father dearest's birthday yesterday (of course)

I decided that today would be a good day to make a post wishing my sister a happy birthday for today, and Dad for yesterday. :) My Dad turned 41 yesterday (don't tell him I told you, huh?) and thinks that he's old.

Kath turns 17 today (she doesn't mind too much if I tell you...) and feels about the same as she did yesterday when she was still sweet 16. Surprising, no?

Every year, either on the 17th or 18th of June, Dad's mum will tell us the story of the day Kath was born. It's becoming a family tradition. "And I can just remember when he said, 'Mum, what will I do with another girl?' But the next day we came up to visit Kathy in hospital and he was holding her like a little porcelain doll." Yup, family tradition for 16 years and counting!

Another piece of news is that I finally got my hair cut! It's not quite like the photo in my previous post, but more like the one below... Except it's not red, LOL. It's so much easier to wash, and style, and wear all day. :)

I'm now working full time, and loving it. (I went from working about 20 hours a week one week to working 38-40 hours the next week.) We are so busy now with the new owners, and there is so much work to do that we need to employ more staff. One more week until our managing pharmacist arrives. I can't wait! Ingrid and I have worked with Steve before, and we do make a good team if I say so myself ;)

Anyways, it's time I got off the computer.
Until next time,
Sarah
